A new conference, a new angle on a popular topic, in a location more associated with the antithesis of a digital society – of course we need to be realistic. We can’t expect that many people will become aware of it, or take a chance on it.
So it was with surprise and great excitement that our call for speakers closed yesterday with dozens of proposals. Proposals came in not just from Ireland, but from the UK, Europe and the United States. Digital arts practitioners, academics, commentators, technologists, policy-makers and cultural institutions have all sought to be a part of Digital Transformations.
This is really good news. Over the next several weeks we will be reviewing the many submissions and putting together a great programme for the conference in October. As the programme is confirmed we will be letting you know who you will be able to see and the many great topics we will be covering. We’ll also be updating the website with these details, and with the many activities that you can enjoy as part of the conference.
